**Learn to Read Spanish**

This educational tool features engaging games aimed at children aged 3 to 7, providing a total of 14 distinct games available across two difficulty levels.

Reading is a foundational skill critical in preschool and early elementary education, forming the basis for a child's academic journey and influencing their adult life. Recognizing that children are digital natives, it is beneficial to leverage their affinity for technology to enhance their reading skills in conjunction with their school curriculum.

**Methodology**

The program employs a phonics-based approach tailored for children aged 4 to 7, though it can also assist adults in refining their pronunciation. The curriculum comprises 30 step-by-step lessons, beginning with vowels and progressing through various consonants such as L, M, S, T, and more.

Each lesson includes 14 interactive games designed to assist parents and educators in guiding children through their first syllables and words in Spanish. Encouraging active listening and problem-solving is emphasized; children do not need to understand every detail to benefit from the exercises.

It’s important to recognize that learning to read is a gradual process that can extend over a year or more. Regular practice—just a few minutes daily—coupled with periodic reviews of previously covered material can enhance retention and comprehension while ensuring that the experience remains enjoyable.

**Levels of Play**

All games offer two adjustable levels of difficulty, allowing the child to progress at their own pace. Games can be paused and resumed at any time. As they successfully complete activities, they earn virtual fruits as rewards.

The first level is suitable for children as young as three, particularly with support from adults. The second level introduces greater complexity and encourages independent problem-solving, underscoring that learning should remain a fun experience.

We encourage parents or guardians to select levels of difficulty appropriate to the child's individual capabilities. It is essential not to apply undue pressure when transitioning between levels or stages.

**Achievements Tracking**

The program allows for the creation of up to three profiles for different users. For each profile, progress tracking reveals success rates and areas needing improvement, represented visually through fruit icons—an engaging way to motivate continued participation. A comprehensive progress report can be accessed via the reports button on the Tikis screen.

 <li>OWL: Typing letters in response to prompts.</li>
 <li>SPIDERS: Reading words and associating them with images.</li>
 <li>MOUSE: Arranging words into coherent sentences.</li>
 <li>SNAILS: Sentence formation from individual words.</li>
 <li>BAT: Typing letters to form sentences.</li>
</ol>

**Additional Activities**

The program also includes options for graphomotricity exercises from the syllables menu (review, copy, and free practice) and offers a printing feature for literacy cards from the phrases menu.
